EOS 17: Scare Tactics

This week only, you get 50% more comic strip. Yes, before you ask, I had a lot of fun making the last panel. That being said. I kind of want to redo it. However, the thought of getting to bed before 2AM wins.

Now, a few notes.
First off, before you send any angry emails about stereotypes of Italian Americans, I would like to inform you that this takes place in a very specific city where a very specific crime family is causing real problems. The comic is based in reality, although, it is one with my spin on it.

Secondly. the one thing I can't judge is if I am actually a good storyteller. If you feel I am being overly vague, please tell me.

Third, I fully admit that the idea of a doctor injecting a mob boss with hallucinogens is an idea straight out of "Batman Begins." That being said I think I wrote the seen then realized from where it came. Also, this is the course of action that makes the most sense for David.

Finally, I was thinking about creating a list of my favorite comics and why I loved them, but I will save that for later in the week.

EOS 16: Goofing off at Work

I know I am supposed to say something about this. Um, There are a couple of obscure references. Try to figure out what they are.
You may notice that I completely wrote around any fight scenes. I have a couple of reasons. The first is that action doesn't really advance the story all that much. The second is that there is already a fantastic web-comic of a doctor who pummels criminals. If you are not familiar with www.DrMcNinja.com, then you are seriously missing out.

This week I will update the character page by Friday! Yeah!

EOS 15: Incidental Excuses

As you can guess, I didn't spend that much time on this comic. Surprisingly, this has most of the main cast in it. It is mainly just jokes that have been bouncing around in my head for ages. The first panel is a reference to an incident that happened the first time I went on a road trip with the same group of friends. I hope you like it. I had fun, and as always, it taught me something.

Bonus points will be awarded if you actually know the reference from the title.

EOS 14: Taserific

OK, I am really liking this new format. I admit that I didn't take that much time on the background. Still, the whole thing looks nice. I will be wrapping up this storyline in about four or five more strips. I might do a non-sequitur next week because I will be spending the weekend traveling. We will see.

By the way, I take criticisms and commissions (even unpaid) but I do not take suggestions. I will explain later. It all has to do with artistic control.

EOS 13: The White Knight

As always, click the image for a larger version.

As I have said before, this is more of an experimental period than anything else. I think I have settled on a few formatting and stylistic decision. Most of this has to do with coloring and bodytypes. However, I have also decided on a default format of 2700x1800 pixels for my comics. This is mainly a motivation to try to get me to tell a story in actions a little more concisely. Does this story make sense if you start from the beginning of the arc?
Also I am limiting my comic size for my own sanity because I need to parse these things down to something I can do in a couple of days without sacrificing style or quality. I am not about to become another Aaron Diaz
I admit that I could have worked for hours more on this thing, but I decided to not do such a thing. I wanted to do things like watch the basketball championship with some friends, eat dinner, work out and sleep tonight.  You know, normal things that people do.
